The PICTURE THS! Videos are streamed into the Georgia Department of Corrections' Re-Entry Prison and the Spalding County Jail.

The West Central Integrated Treatment Facility is a medium-security, short-term, intensive rehabilitation center for adult female detainees who are in the custody of the Georgia Department of Corrections. This facility is located in Zebulon, Georgia and can house a maximum of 194 residents.
Red Clay Ministries began prison ministry at West Central over 20 years ago with a small team of three volunteers. Today, at West Central, Red Clay Ministries provides special programs; an opportunity each month for the women to make cards for their children, family, and friends; the New Life Academy (decribed in the column to the right); and Sole Encounters (described in the middle column below).
Red Clay Ministries' also coordinates the Little Readers Program of Heartbound Ministries. In this program, Red Clay Volunteers video women reading a children's book to their child. Heartbound Ministies mails the video and the book to the child.

The New Life Academy is a Bible- based program that takes incarcerated men and women through a holistic life transformation process. Participants are guided by Red Clay volunteers to lead lives of purpose and productivity while incarcerated, and to continue that life upon release. This is achieved by discussions in groups of inmates of how to apply scripture to everyday life, no matter where we are or our situation.
The New Life Academy is a three-month, six-month or nine-month program with a graduation at the conclusion of the program. Classes are in a discussion-group format and focus on making choices to identify areas needing to change in their lives and moving forward to change.
Red Clay Ministries is looking for churches, who want to answer the call to prison ministry by volunteering to assist in the academy program. If you or your church are interested, please click on the "To Receive More Information" button below.

Ministry Leader: Cindy Chesna

The Sole Encounters Evangelism Ministry Team hosts events outside in the prison yard. A Sole Encounter event includes a program of music, testimonies, speakers, and food. Hundreds of inmates are in attendance at a Sole Encounters' event.
The name, Sole Encounters, is based on the fact that people must have an encounter with Jesus Christ that is their own (sole) encounter. Jesus saves us and our soul is changed, solely, by our faith in Jesus Christ for eternal life.

Ministry Leader: Cindy Chesna
Red Clay has two groups of volunteers to insure that inmates receive greeting cards of encouragement and to insure that the families and friends of inmates receive greeting cards from their loved ones who are incarcerated.
Group One
This group of 11 ladies handcrafts greeting cards for inmates in the prisons where Red Clay Volunteers serve. The cards also include handwritten scripture verses and notes of encouragement inside. In 2026, this group will make approximately 5700 handcrafted cards.
Group Two
This group of over 20 volunteers go into prisons, taking card-making supplies into the prisons for the incarcerated to make cards for their family and friends, especially their children. Since 2010, over 10,000 cards, made by inmates, have been mailed to inmate families and friends.
